Molly + Chris

In design, there is sort of a rule about contrast being aesthetically pleasing. Contrast in shapes, sizes, colors, fonts... each element is meant to contrast its complementary element. I think beauty in life is much the same. I've never been shy about loving winter weddings - especially when there's snow on the ground! If I were to describe them with an emoji, it would basically be all the heart eyes. I really love how stark the contrast is between the mood and emotion inside and the actual temperature outside.

There's something about really cold weather that makes people really enjoy being indoors together. I'm not sure what it is, and for whatever reason, the friends and family of Molly and Chris seemed extra warm and inviting that night. It can sometimes be a little strange stepping into one of the most intimate moments in someone's life, but they truly made me feel like I was a part of their family.

I so enjoyed being able to capture the contrast in Molly and Chris themselves. Chris is somewhat reserved in personality, while Molly is a goofy, what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of person. This provides a wonderful balance to their dynamic that I loved watching. Most people are happy on their wedding day, but not everyone looks as comfortable and as happy as these two look together.

Our video is elegant and crafty and makes us look way cooler than we are...

Can I also add, as a side bar, that Molly's father, Byron, is an excellent pianist, and it was incredibly special to see him play at his own daughter's wedding! All the feels!

Anyways, please enjoy the film of Molly and Chris.
